The Story
For Bruna
When Bruna was nine months old, she was diagnosed with Usher Syndrome Type 1B, a rare genetic disorder that causes profound deafness from birth, vestibular dysfunction affecting balance, and progressive vision loss that ultimately leads to complete blindness.
For her parents, Berta and Arnau, that diagnosis changed everything.
But instead of accepting it, they chose to act.
They became advocates. They founded Save Sight Now Europe, began working alongside researchers around the world, and today they are fighting to ensure that research leads to treatments before it is too late.
For Bruna is the story of a family that transforms pain into action. And love into science.
